Payment details go directly to our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.

We also collect certain technical data automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring URLs, through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

We use this information to process donations and issue tax receipts, send mission updates, newsletters, and event invitations with your consent, respond to your inquiries, improve our website, programs, and outreach, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and keep our systems and your data secure.

Text messaging

If you opt in to SMS by texting JOIN to (267) 390-8837 or by completing a form on spinehope.org, we will send occasional messages about donations, text-to-give, events, and mission updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Donor and mobile lists

We do not sell donor or mobile lists. Service providers (including our texting platform) are used only to deliver messages you requested.

Information sharing and disclosure

SpineHope does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your data with trusted service providers who help us operate our website, process donations, or deliver communications, and each of them is bound by confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud.

Volunteer applications

If you apply to volunteer, your application may be reviewed with the help of an AI service provider under contract with SpineHope, used only to help our staff review applications.

Analytics and advertising

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and the Meta pixel so we can measure whether our advertising reaches people who care about this work. Both place cookies and send information about your visit, including pages viewed, whether you completed a donation, and the gift amount, to those companies. We do not send them your name, email address, or phone number. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and you can control advertising cookies in your browser or in your Meta account settings. Our email newsletters include a small image that tells us when a newsletter is opened.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can opt out of marketing emails with the unsubscribe link in any message, and out of text messages by replying STOP. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Children's privacy

Our website and services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
