2021 – Princess Persaud

On April 27, 2021, 16 year old Princess Persaud, from the Republic of Guyana, received the amazing gift of corrective spine surgery performed by Dr. Craig Kuhns of Austin Spine in Austin, Texas. Her spinal fusion was a huge success! This brave teen has been a true champion…no complaints, just sheer determination to keep a positive mindset and focus on having her spine heal. 

Princess is looking forward to returning home to Guyana knowing she now can feel comfortable in whichever hairstyles she chooses, feel comfortable being in public and, in time, be able to play the games she loves like cricket and soccer. Princess dreams of one day becoming a pediatrician to help other children in need like herself. She is grateful to all who made her dream and straighter spine miracle come true!
