Colombia Site

Colombia was SpineHope's first project and the partnership that was established with Hospital Valle de Lili started with the efforts of Dr. Steve Mardjetko (through Chicago's Shriners Hospital for Children). The medical missions to Cali, Colombia started in 2001 and over 200 surgeries have been performed since to help children in need of spine surgery. After having dedicated over 12 years to a partnership with our hosts in Cali, Colombia SpineHope proudly felt that the Colombia program had reached a level of success and autonomy that allowed for them to no longer need our full support. In late 2013 the Cali, Colombia trip was retired from SpineHope's projects and was transitioned over to a new spine outreach nonprofit, Global Spine Outreach.
