Curvy Girls International Scoliosis Convention

Can't say enough about the 2023 Curvy Girls BACK Together Convention in Long Island, New York! SpineHope was honored to attend this outstanding event which gathered over 175 young ladies with scoliosis from around the world to talk about scoliosis, share their stories, connect with peers, and support each other. While there, SpineHope was presented with donated goody bags, filled with items personally selected by each Curvy Girls' attendee along with special notes for upcoming SpineHope patients! Can't wait to see the faces of the recipients when they receive these thoughtful care packages. SpineHope is grateful to all who contributed...and what a kind way to show others they are not alone.

During the convention, participating children and their parents attended various educational and empowerment workshops. In a special evening fashion show, several scoliosis warriors walked down the run way with confidence and joy showing off their back braces, curves, and surgical scars. Words cannot express how wonderful it was to witness these warriors proud of their bodies and fashion choices. Then they danced the night away together!

SpineHope would like to thank Robin and Leah Stoltz for caring about our patients/mission and praise them for all they've done to build Curvy Girls to the impactful organization it is today. It has made a difference for so many young ladies dealing with scoliosis. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Curvy Girls!

Also, we'd like to thank Dr. Laurence Mermelstein and team at Long Island Spine Specialists, for supporting SpineHope and Curvy Girls. Their sponsorship and volunteer support is changing lives! Thank you SpineHope volunteer and scoliosis warrior, Sophie Aliece Hollis, for attending and helping out. One more special thank you to Jon Quinn and ZimVie Spine for their assistance transporting the donated care packages back to SpineHope in Austin, Texas! Their kindness and generosity is greatly appreciated.
