SpineHope, with the support of the Hospital Nacional De Ninos, will be holding a unique Education Conference on Saturday, February 27th from 3:00pm – 5:00pm in San Jose, Costa Rica. This event is focused on advanced techniques and treatments of Scoliosis and other complex spine conditions. Four esteemed Spine and Orthopedic Surgeons from the United States will be sharing their knowledge, stories and answering questions. We invite surgeons, physicians, residents and medical staff to attend! This event is held in conjunction with the SpineHope Costa Rica Medical Mission Trip that these surgeons will be volunteering their time and services for at the Hospital Nacional De Ninos, February 20-27, 2016. During this time, spine surgeries will be performed on 10-14 children in need. This Education Conference is part of SpineHope’s ongoing effort to provide hospital staff abroad advanced training, techniques and safety protocols. Topics and Presenters Include: Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis & Modern Treatments – Dr. Matthew Geck from Austin, Texas; Update on Neurophysiologic Monitoring techniques in Complex Spinal Surgery – Dr. Laurence Mermelstein from Long Island, New York; Spondylolisthesis Evaluation & Treatment – Dr. Ryan Murdock from Austin, Texas; and Early Onset Scoliosis: Current Management & Treatment Options – Dr. Alec Stall from San Antonio, Texas.
