One of the most important parts of our medical missions is the social events. The spine team spends the majority of our day together every day of the trip. We go out of our way to spend fun time with local families to learn their culture and get to know their families. Our evenings are filled will local dinners and daily “movie nights”. All team members see the patients together, both in the clinics and on ward rounds – a departure of many traditional roles in various countries. Our trip usually concludes with a night of salsa dancing (over 40 people on our last trip)!
