Spine Surgeon
Matthew J. Geck is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who has a practice focused exclusively on spine and scoliosis surgery. Dr. Geck’s practice is a referral center for some of the most complex cases of adult and pediatric scoliosis, as well as other complex problems of the adult and pediatric spine. He is currently a Co-Chief at the Seton Spine & Scoliosis Center in Austin, Texas.

Neurodiagnostic and Monitoring Specialist
Ethan S. Lauer is board certified in neurophysiologic intraoperative monitoring and nerve conduction studies. He is also President of NeuroTechs Diagnostic Service, a multi-modality neurodiagnostic testing and monitoring service in Houston, Texas. NeuroTechs helps physicians across many disciplines diagnose patients with complex disorders and safely conduct surgical interventions.

Anthony S. Rinella is a board certified, fellowship trained spine surgeon. He practiced at Loyola University Medical Center for 7 years, dedicating his practice to adult and pediatric scoliosis, and other complex spinal problems. He later founded the Illinois Spine & Scoliosis Center in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, IL. Dr. Rinella regularly speaks to global outreach groups around the world to help promote the care of children with complex spinal problems.

Executive Director
Beth Felker has spent her career investing in and supporting health promotion initiatives for underserved Latino youth and families. She joins SpineHope with significant experience in strategic planning, program development, innovative collaborative partnerships, and Latin American philanthropic ventures. Drawing on her studies and work in a variety of medical and public health programs and experience living in Peru, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Ecuador, Beth brings to the SpineHope team a deep, abiding passion for cultivating sustainable changes in Latin American children’s health and quality of life. She holds a B.A. double major in psychology and intercultural communications from Southwestern University and a M.A. in sustainable international development from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
